Full day Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina

An extensive but rewarding excursion that takes place mostly in the territory of the Argentine Republic, specifically aiming at Los Glaciares National Park. The minibus begins to pick up passengers at their respective lodgings in Puerto Natales at 06:00 hrs to cross early in the morning at the Villa Cerro Castillo border crossing.
Although the trail is long and monotonous, this tour has a high level of satisfaction in the clients who decide to do it, since they are able to visualize from a short distance one of the most impressive glaciers of the Southern Ice Field. Around noon you will pass through the beautiful tourist town of El Calafate, the service center of the Argentinean glacier. There, a certified park guide joins the mobile to comment on the last stretch (80 kms to the glacier) about the history, geomorphology and glaciology of the place to be visited.
Once in the park we will access the so-called “walkways”, which are corridors with balconies and viewpoints to observe the glacier from different angles and heights. Passengers will also have the alternative of purchasing a navigation ticket (one hour long) to better appreciate the height of the front wall, which in some areas reaches 60 meters.
It is essential to take Argentine cash from Puerto Natales to pay the entrance fee to the park, as well as if you want to take the optional navigation and for food. The return to the city of Puerto Natales is estimated around 22:00 hrs.
TIPS
– It is not possible to cross the border with perishable food, therefore it is recommended to carry Argentine pesos to buy food both at the glacier and in the city of El Calafate.
